Botox® vs. Dysport® vs. Jeuveau vs. Xeomin®: Which Is Right for You?

Botox vs. Dysport vs. Jeuveau vs. Xeomin: Which Neurotoxin Is Right for You?

The four neurotoxins we offer — Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, and Xeomin — all do the same fundamental thing: they relax specific muscles to soften the lines that come from repeated expression. They're more alike than different. But there are subtle distinctions worth understanding.

What they have in common

All four are FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A products. Used by a skilled injector, any of them can produce natural, refreshed results for frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet. The product matters far less than the hands placing it — precision and dosing are what create a beautiful outcome.

The subtle differences

Botox is the original and most recognized. It's well-studied, predictable, and a reliable choice for nearly any area.

Dysport tends to have a slightly faster onset for some patients and can spread a little more, which makes it well-suited to larger areas like the forehead. That same property means it benefits from precise placement.

Jeuveau is formulated specifically for aesthetic use and is popular for frown lines. Many patients find its results comparable to Botox.

Xeomin is a "naked" formulation, meaning it has no added protein. In theory, this may reduce the likelihood of developing resistance over time, which can make it appealing for patients who've had many treatments.

How we choose together

In practice, the right neurotoxin depends on the area being treated, your history with these products, how quickly you'd like to see results, and your own response over time. At your consultation, we discuss all of this and select the product that best fits your goals — and we adjust as we learn how your body responds.

There's no single "best" neurotoxin. There's only the best choice for you, in the hands of a provider who places it with intention.

Individual results vary. Neurotoxin treatments are medical procedures performed following a consultation and evaluation by a licensed provider.
